Ald. Knudsen Statement on Election Victory

Knudsen Thanks Voters and Former Opponent for Running

Chicago — After speaking with his former opponent, Alderman Timmy Knudsen released the following statement on the 43rd Ward alderman’s race:

“I want to thank 43rd Ward voters for turning out in historic numbers and to my former opponent for stepping up to run for office. Brian Comer brought important issues into the campaign for alderman, and I appreciate his perspective as the leader of one of our neighborhood associations, which make our ward a premier place to live and raise a family,” said Alderman Timmy Knudsen. “After a spirited campaign, I vow to be a leader who bridges the gap, listens to all parts of our ward, and unites our community. We all share a common goal of making the 43rd Ward the best it could be, and I’ll seek to uplift that good within our community every single day.”

On Tuesday afternoon, Comer called Knudsen to concede and wish him well. The two committed to sitting down and working together on issues facing the 43rd Ward and the City of Chicago.
